Voyageur was the home of Golden Retrievers raised, trained and loved by Ron and Judy Kaiser.  They spanned from 1976
through the turn of the new century. Obtaining their first Golden Retriever in 1976, Ron and Judy quickly renewed their passion
for performance events with their dogs; obedience, tracking and retriever field work.

Prior to and during the 70s, Ron and Judy also raised, trained and showed Dachshunds and Poodles.

This site is a memorial to the dogs they loved.

"Suzie" was also adopted as a young adult dog.  She proved to be a wonderful companion, earning her AKC and CKC CD titles in 1984.

Suzie produced one litter of puppies in early 1984, sired by Kyrie Brenjo Gavilan "Spirit".  This was the only litter that Suzie and Spirit produced, Since the litter was born during the 1984 Olympics, each pup took on a name that reflected the Games.

Voyageur Sarajevo Gold "Sara" was the daughter kept from this litter, which also produced Voyageur SunSpirits Gold CDX, "Kobi", loved by Julie Pinn of SunSpirits Goldens.. Kobi carried 2 AKC show points and earned 2 AKC junior hunter passes.

It is by no accident that "Tasha" joined the Voyageur family.  Tasha's
breeder and original owner, Rudy Harris, was Ron Kaiser's longtime
training partner.  After an evening of field training, Rudy returned home
and passed away suddenly.  It was then that Ron learned of Rudy's
wishes; for Tasha to join the Voyageur family and continue a
 performance career.

Tasha continued on to earn:

AKC CD, CDX, Junior Hunter

CKC CD, CDX, WC

UKC CD, CDX

GRCA WC

Further, Tasha and Ron competed successfully in the 1987 and 1989
United States Gaines Eastern Regional Dog Obedience Championships.

Shortly after the 1989 Championship, Ron passed away and Tasha
entered into retirement, deservingly after losing two owners with whom
 she had bonded so closely.
